Q1 HE Brass Plate

Swapping in this brass plate made the typing feel noticeably firmer and more responsive, especially on the ISO layout. The extra weight gives each keystroke a solid, satisfying thunk without being too stiff.

The brass plate gives the Q1 HE a noticeably deeper, more solid sound when typing, and the ISO layout fits my keycaps perfectly. It’s heavier than the stock plate, which I didn’t expect, but that heft feels reassuring under the fingers.

Installation was straightforward and the ISO cutouts lined up perfectly with my switches. The extra weight from the brass really firms up the typing feel compared to stock aluminum.
